Welcome to the Vogelhaus

Chalets like those at Steirereck am Pogusch, affectionately known as “Vogelhäuser” (birdhouses), are truly one of a kind. The architectural duo Ewald and Marleen Viereck have created a complete work of art from brushed larch wood, which, thanks in large part to the “Piz Bernina” alpine wall panels by Mareiner, blends perfectly into the forest landscape surrounding Pogusch in Styria.

Not only were the exteriors of the chalets designed using Mareiner elements, but the interiors also feature newly developed Irregolare wall coverings made from reclaimed wood, specially created during the project.
